Waxing Treatment Preparation
NO Glycolic, Alphahydroxy Acids(AHA) or Retin-A products at least 1 week before your appointment.
Do not shave the area! You may trim the area but leave about a 1/4 inch in length but no longer than 1/2 inch. Hair any shorter than this will not be easy to remove with hot wax.
No moisturizers after showering or cleansing area. You want to be clean for your appointment but moisturizers can work against you. Cleansing is needed to remove oils from the area and makes for a smoother waxing treatment.
Best to schedule your waxing treatment one week after your menstrual cycle. Your skin is able to tolerate more pain around this time. The entire week before your cycle your skin is more sensitive than ever.
Gently exfoliate area day before appointment.
If you happen to have low tolerance for pain in general, take Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment.
